The Pyropaver 300 E is a Canadian two stage system for hot in-place Asphalt Recycling on roads. The equipment consists of three separate units and one conventional asphalt paver. This method gives, besides savings in material, a new homogenously mixed layer at lower costs.
The surface is heated by infrared radiation and milled in two steps to a desired depth, 20-65 mm. The mix of the old asphalt layer can be changed directly by adding virgin asphalt and new type of bitumen or rejuvenator. The two-stage recycling means the sequential heating and removing of two separate layers of asphalt in one continuous operation. Alternatively working widths are 3.5 m and 4.2 m.
From an environmental point of view, the Pyropaver 300 E is today the most complete recycling equipment in the world market. Contrary to other European recycling equipment, Pyropaver 300 E has an efficient emission control system, which gives a virtually smokefree operation.
